“Stories of ghosts, of lovers, of adventurers, of beings beyond this world… meeting on village streets, at railways stations. over coffee, in a glimpse in the corner of your eye. Greg Metcalf presents stories that challenge, delight, make one ponder, and stick in the mind after you have done reading.”
Between 2003 and 2004, Greg spent some of his spare time writing a collection of short stories. IN 2004, Moose House Publications published Greg’s collection, under the title Glimpses.
Glimpses begins with a ghost story, written from the perspective of the ghost whose existence is frozen in a remote cottage. The story was inspired by local folklore surrounding a ghost in one of the cottages in Smith’s Cove, near to where Greg lived at the time.
Enjoying the process, Greg then wrote a further twelve short stories. The subjects, themes and time setting are all different. The common element among them is that they are all set in the area surrounding Digby County in Nova Scotia.
Greg continues to write and hopes to add to his published collection.
